What to see?

The shape of Košická Hlavná street resembles a large lens, through which you can also look into the world of history. The historic center was fortified by walls until the 18th century. Today, it consists of an almost kilometer-long pedestrian zone surrounded by magnificent historic buildings inhabited by medieval kings, counts and important members of the nobility. A center full of legends and stories, the palaces of rich nobles alternate with craftsmen's houses and churches. The center has lovely squares and narrow streets that ask for the views of passers-by. Košice has so many nooks and crannies that it is really interesting to be transferred by them. The people of Košice themselves liked regular wanderings through the city organized by local guides.
